Steel Grit is made by crushing high quality steel shot or steel, obtaining angular shapes. It can be used both in air blast systems and in wheel blast systems. It can quickly remove surface contaminants, such as rust, paint, scale from steel and other metals, leaving surface clean and free of contaminants. It is also ideal for roughening and preparatory blasting before coating.
Steel Grit is available in three hardness: GH, GL and GP.
GP HRC46-50 Softer grade, particularly suited to wheel blasting and general cleaning.
GL HRC56-60 Medium hardness, efficiently used to descaling and surface preparation.
GH HRC63-65 Hardest, aggressive cleaning and roughening.
Steel grit is sized via screening process, include G12, G14, G16, G18, G25, G40, G50, G80, G120.
